Evaluating an Information Literacy Objective

November 30, 2012

The primary project for EdTech505 was to create and report on an evaluation project. I chose to evaluate the information literacy objective of a College Honors Program through citation analysis. It is really quite amazing to see the type of information that can be gathered from simple citations. Aggregate data shows patterns in resource use for format type, age, scholarly nature, and domains. When analyzing citations according to expected pattern use based on academic discipline, one can identify areas of concern that need improvement.
